The demonstration cohort
Until 31 August 2026 the register also carried a demonstration cohort used to exercise the platform: 17 projects and 28,769 units, every serial carrying the MCC-DEMO- prefix, together with five demonstration retirements and one test transfer. It was removed from the register on that date and archived intact, so the record of what the platform did during its shakedown remains auditable. None of it is or was a real credit, and no serial without the MCC-DEMO- prefix has ever existed.
