Every retirement recorded against the MCC unit ledger. Retirements are made under the programme's contribution-first framework (MCC-800 · Claims Policy): they support verified marine conservation outcomes and do not represent carbon offsets, neutrality, or emissions reduction claims. Verify any serial at /verify.
Requested and retired are different numbers. “Requested” is the quantity on the retirement record. “Units retired” is the quantity actually moved to RETIRED status on the unit ledger. A record with no executed unit allocation shows “—” and is not counted in any total on this page.
