Project Description

Lead pilot of the MCC programme, developed with Ghost Fishing Solutions and the University of Sfax, Faculty of Sciences. Systematic location, recovery and prevention of lost fishing gear (ghost gear) in the Gulf of Gabès, credited as MCC-MCU conservation units under methodology MCC-M008 (family F04 Pollution Prevention; 1 MCU = 100 kg verified recovered or prevented gear, FD-2026-08-24 D6). No carbon credits are issued and no climate claim is made. Entered by the programme administration on the founder's instruction of 31 August 2026 on the basis of PDD draft v0.1 (24 August 2026); the project boundary, baseline dataset and host-country process are in preparation and the completed PDD will be published before validation begins.

The programme has not recorded a host-country position for this project. No issuance can occur until it has.
